Recent Events
The program participants were part of many wonderful activities during these past few months. Some of the activities that they participated in included the ever popular card games. Three of the participants look forward to playing Crazy 8s, which allows them to compete against one another. They enjoy seeing one another draw cards which makes the games last longer. Other activities enjoyed by all participants are the miniature golf game that they play indoors. They put forth all their effort to try and get the golf ball into the box that gives them the most points. One of the participants enjoys doing jumbo crossword puzzles. He is amazing in that he knows many of the entries needed to complete the puzzles. Other participants like to color and paint. They take their artwork home with them, where they can share their art with their loved ones.
The Lunch Club is a great outing along with the Coffee Club, since this lets the participants a chance to eat out with one another and they share stories with one another and with the staff. This is an activity the participants look forward to being a part of. Another activity that is enjoyed by all is BINGO with small prizes. The program coordinator gets small items that each participant can win during BINGO. Other outings everyone participates in are visits to local museums and to the train station, where they are treated to a movie at times. The movie is usually about something that is significant to our area and has historical meaning.
