Share Your Care has many employment opportunities available involving caregiving for elderly and developmentally disabled adults. Share Your Care accepts applications for a variety of positions as they become available. The Agency regularly advertises available positions in the Albuquerque Journal. Most available positions are direct care staff called Program Assistants. Program Assistants should have experience or a desire to work with elderly and/or disabled adult populations. Program Assistants help our program’s participants with all activities of daily living including walking, eating, toileting and engaging in social and recreational activities in the community. Substitute Program Assistant positions are also available.
Qualifications include proof of a high school diploma or GED, must be at least 21 years of age, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift at least 30 pounds. Applicants must be free from tuberculosis in a transmissible form. Experience is preferred but Share Your Care will train new hires. Share Your Care performs background checks and fingerprinting of all employees who are involved in the direct care services that we provide.
Full-time Program Assistant positions include 29, 35, and 40 hour workweeks and include health benefits, vacation, and holiday pay. Substitute positions are on-call and hours cannot be guaranteed. No more than 19.75 hours per week are available per Substitute.
The Program Assistant starting wage is $10.12 per hour. Nine paid holidays, four personal days, and after one year of employment, two weeks paid vacation. Flexible work schedules with no weekend or evening shifts. Agency pays 70% of monthly health insurance premiums. Excellent working conditions, great team work, leadership opportunities.
